Audit Time

The Board of Directors of The Academy Award Project have demanded that I produce an audit of the Best Pictures I have seen and posted about.  They didn't state directly that they would cut off my funding, so it wasn't a threat.  But I'm sure if it wasn't tied to a brick and thrown through my living room window I might have viewed it differently.  Lucky for me that I don't get offended easily and know that the board members are honorable people who were no where near my house last Thursday at 8:50 pm.

Since I've started the blog I have written about 512 films.  I have seen 520 films nominated for Best Picture and 537 films overall have been nominated and won Best Picture.  Of the eight that haven't been posted, four are from 2015 and four are from 2016.  I also have one on the DVR from 2015 that I will try and watch soon.

So stay tuned in the next few days as I will start giving reviews on additional movies.  I plan on changing my style of posting five to eight films at once every two to three months and do one at a time every few days.  This will allow me more time to replace my living room window.

  1. It does take time to write up the blogs and post but it's always fun to read

    1. Thanks so much! It's nice to know that I'm not just shouting out my window :-). Although that is fun too until the neighbors get annoyed :-(.

  2. Very glad you'll be continuing with your reviews. It is a huge challenge you've given yourself. I appreciate how you leave a link to a video.

I didn't see a link where I could sign up via email and get notified of new posts on your blog. I have one on my blog and I am told by my friends it is functional. (I'm still learning about things I can add to my blog.) Happy movie watching!

    1. That's because I'm a hardware specialist who has made my career by not going over layer three. (An old OSI joke about the seven layers and, well, it gets laughs from other technical geeks like me). This means in English, I am not a software person who understands all the commands and languages, especially being burned out by Fortran and Cobol and high school, and countless Assembler classes in college and Engineering School, actually it was three total not countless, and how I have drifted further and further away from the programming and software realm of our computer age, there was no email notification.

But the real reason is that I didn't realize it was a gadget that I could add, which I did, and so now it should work. Thanks for pointing that out, I thought it would automatically be there. And thanks to the wife who said just add the gadget on your blog.
